Recently, a security research team at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) revealed a serious in car security vulnerability: the KARR Security System's rear mounted anti-theft alarm system has a fatal design flaw due to Bluetooth authentication mechanism, putting approximately 2.2 million cars in the United States at risk of being remotely unlocked and engine disabled.
